Re: in defence of a fellow hammer
I don't understand the reasoning for not playing Joe Hart. He was probably the best keeper in the league last season. He didn't make many mistakes, nor did he really make any at City the season before. I rate him just as highly as i rate Given, possibly more.
The talk of him being a disaster waiting to happen is a load of shite imo. It would stand true if the other 2 alternatives were supremely reliable, but imo they're more likely to cock up than Hart - As Green proved on Saturday and as james has proved on countless occasions.
Capello dropped a major bollock by not naming his first choice keeper before the warm-ups. That way he can settle himself alongside a consistent back 4. Swapping and changing the keepers and the defenders during the warm-up matches has done more harm than good.
I'm also seriously starting to have my doubts about Capello. Not taking Adam Johnson who is naturally left footed was a stupid thing to do. This became evident when he brought Shaun Wright-Phillips on to replace Milner on Saturday. A right-footed, predictable and low on confidence player, to play on the left side of the midfield. It still baffles me how he got the nod over Johnson. I watch City week in week out, and Johnson is by far the better player - which is why he keeps Wright-Phillips out of the team every week. Strange one by Capello - as is the goal-keeping situation.
