Good post BG, to be honest the game's I'm most nostalgic about are old Speccy games as a kid growing up.

Therefore I am going to do two lists, one of my favourite ever Speccy Games, and one of best ever 'modern' games.

Here's my fave Speccy Games.

10. Fairlight. This spawned the adventure genre. Along with Head Over Heels this game revolutionised gaming.

9. Turbo Esprit. The great great grandfather of Grand Theft Auto. I used to love this game back in the day.

8. Gunfright. Forget Red Dead Redemption, this is the ultimate Western game!

7. BMX Simulator, Used to spend hours racing my mate around these courses, both bashing our little fingers on the poor rubber keys!

6. Bruce Lee. Another great action fighter back in the day. I must have completed this about 30 times!

5. Fued, A brilliant spellcasting game I used to spend literally hours when I bought it for I belive, £2.99!

4. 3D Stock Car Championship. The greatest racing game ever made! To this day remains my favourite two player game of all time. My best mate and used to play complete seasons on this! To my mind the handling of the cars in this game was never bettered. Even the computer controlled cars were brilliant. Fucking loved this game!

3. COMMANDO, imo the greatest army game EVER! Fucking brilliant even to this day watching the demo it looks ace. This game was soooooo cool.

2. Lords of Midnight. Shamefully I'm having to link to a Comodore 64 clip as there are no Speccy clips that I can find. I think this game was what made me a fantasy, strategy type chess loving hobbity nerd. Massing my armies under the banner of Luxor the Moonprince, (who I like to think was King of the Jews) we'd march against the Doomsdark's evil hordes. Was a great game.

1, Carrier Command. I believe this is the most advanced Speccy game ever created. Like a Battlefield type game 20 years before its time. You could fly planes, boats, strategise, it was ace! So advanced they couldn't even fit in sound effects and you used to play an included cassete tape of music over and over for sound! Unfortunately I can't find a speccy clip so I provide this, probably better Commodore 64 version.

Damn I can still think of loads more though!

Oh how could I forget this!!!!! Maybe the greatest game ever made!

Skool Daze! and Back To School!

This game fucking rocked. I used to love it so much! Going to lessons, beating the shit out of Cuthbert, stealing that bike from the girl's school and creating mayhem in the park. Getting into fights with the school bully and getting detentions and having to write lines!

This might be my favorite game ever, watch the clip!
