In 2002 were in the quarterfinals against Germany, we have a header off a corner that has gotten past Oliver Kahn and Torsten Frings obviously keeps the ball out of the goal with his hand.

2006 we have two guys red carded in the Italy game and both are borderline, andthen were called for an absolutely absurd penalty in the Ghana game when it was 1-1 and we lose 2-1.

And here we have this fuckwad steal the game from us when if anything Michael Bradley's defender should have been called for a penalty.

    So fucking pissed off.

Although as I said I'm grateful for Findley not being able to play against Algeria dude got a yellow card for a ball hitting him on the face What a clown. We got called for fouls on 3 free kicks, 1 of them was borderline, the other two were absolutely baffling and one of those cost us the game.

I'm done talking about it, Its just pissing me off. Go England.

Why is Rooney playing as an attacking midfielder?

I don't know why but I just assumed England would get it together tonight. They look awful.

.....God how many times can the US get screwed by a referee? It happens ALL the time, we fucked up the first half, we clawed back and God damn it we won!!!

I was kind of disappointed in Torres' play until he took that free kick.....damn near put that home! Quality from the youngster

I know the English fans don't like to hear it, but the team is severely overrated. Just playing in the Premiership does not make them great players, neither does the huge wages. If anything, huge wages deplete their desire to represent their country. I think the sooner that the massive (and unwarranted) expectation in the country disappears every time there is a major tournament, the more relaxed the players will be and the better they will perform. But no question, they simply lack the exceptional brilliance of other nations to have ever realistically competed this year.
It says a lot that Heskey was probably the best player of the first half!

They have no chemistry....they can have all the stars they want to but if you lack chemistry and cohesion then you won't win anything. GREAT result for the US but we NEED to demolish Algeria.

We should look for Buddle and Edu to start and Gomez, Feilhaber, and Holden to sub.

    0:0 very interesting situation indeed.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

I think chemistry is one problem, but I think the hard fact is that the players are simply not that good. They have zero creativity... In my opinion, most of their good performances at club level are due to the ton of creative foreign players all around them. I think the only genuinely very good players in the team are Rooney, Gerrard and Cole. The rest are simply decent.

But, you know what will happen after the tournament - Capello will catch a sh*tstorm and possibly get sacked, and excuses like 'fatigue' and 'over training' will come to light too. Anything but accept that they simply have sub-par talent at the moment. Then the hype will begin again for Euro 2012, and I'll find myself more than likely writing this message again.

Would it ever occur to anyone that Algeria are basically just as good as England (talent wise) at the moment? Same goes for the USA.
