Default Manny and Floys inching closer

So Im reading this and I also heard that Manny may have given into the blood testing, I think Mannys camp is going all in and now putting the preasure back on Floyd...does this make or break the fight?

LAS VEGAS – The highly anticipated proposed bout between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao, which would match boxing’s two best fighters and its two biggest stars, is inching toward reality.
Pacquiao promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank said Wednesday that issues have been resolved and the only thing standing between the fight being made is a decision by Mayweather as to whether he wants to fight again in 2010....

I hope it's true, and we get an announcement soon. I'm still refraining from getting too excited tho, just in case the deal falls thru. I really do believe tho that a fight of this magnitude and importance has too happen, it just has too.

Mayweather team has 2 weeks to decide. It's all up to Floyd Jr now. It's either he man the fukk up, or do the sport a favor by retiring for good.

Well... the mud slinging seems to have subsided this week since the rumor tweet about an outside stadium being build and everyone's favorite examiner pacman groupie just posted another premise to support truth to the rumor. http://www.examiner.com/x-5699-Boxing-Examiner~y2010m6d30-MGM-Grand-jacks-up-room-rates-to-290-for-MayweatherPacquiao-date MGM has jacked up the rates for Nov. 13th.

    Just do it!

Oh yes wouldn't it be great for the sport if it's biggest draw retired, that would be excellent.

Also the man that's trying to improve the sport by introducing random drug testing, yes let's get rid of that guy people like Pacquiao would no doubt love that!

Yes let's hope that floyd retires and then we can see the almighty pacquiao fight cotto (or maybe even a clottey rematch!!) again this time for yet another title and no doubt manny the steroid will come into the ring even bigger and win even more convincingly. that white rice is incredible stuff!

Oh your post is so brilliant and so well thought out that I have to agree with it! Floyd is the problem with boxing, drawing these big crowds and campeigning for a clean sport! evil evil man!

We need more people like margarito in the sport I'm sure you'll agree!

Yes he's agreed to it which he fucking should. BUT how many months has he had to get clean? Plenty. I would expect him to pass a test now. Hell ozzy osbourne could pass a test with the amount of time pac has had to flush shit out of the system.

It still remains though that Floyd is probably the only athlete to push for it in boxing.

That aside though pacstraightleft's point was that the sport of boxing would be better without Foyd Mayweather. That is if your idea of better is less people watching the sport and more of it's stars cheating. Can everyone agree that that can only be good for the sport.

Ok genius. Can you provide a shred of evidence that Pac has been using peds? Can you link him to someone like Condes, or any athletes' doctor that has been busted with providing illegal substance before? Lmfao! All you got is a baseless accusation from a crack dealer, crack user, ex-con Floyd Sr. If you can't provide reliable evidence, then you might as well STFU.

no need to take it so personal, it's a known fact that there is no evidence proving Manny has used PED's, but his actions were shady, but again you can't make an accusation only on here say, so it's a known fact Hornfinger is as clueless as Takamura and Milmascaras, so just ignore the bunch

One week it's floyd's fault the next it's pac.....it swings from one guy's corner to the next, neither guy is scared of anything that's just silly. Most of the crap reported probably isn't even true and floyd and pac are probably just as surprised to hear some of these so called "updates" as we are. Pac is a great fighter and so is floyd. Neither guy deserves to be discredited with claims of being scared, ducking etc. There are tons of people involved in all this stuff. Organazations, promoters, the mgm, hbo etc.....basically i'm saying it's none of thier faults and both of thier faults at the same time. It was just five minutes ago that everyone was blaming pac for stalling. Why would pac be scared when he's blowing through opponets, and why would floyd be scared when he's barely even been hit his whole career. Neither guy could be in the position to be in a fight this big by being "scared" of anything. It's so funny to see people get personally butthurt or overly worked up for any team or fighter who when it comes down to it probably will never even know they exsist . Sometimes i think fans care more than the fighters do. Call manny or floyd and tell them you just lost your job and want to watch the fight but can't afford it but you have been arguing thier case online for them see how much they care........Just sayin, heated discussions i can understand but personal attacks and the like amongst one another online anywhere i don't get. My statements aren't towards anyone or anyplace in general, i've just been on a couple of sites this morn and the slingin back and forth has gotten way out of hand. Fans should never care more than the actual athleats/teams do.

Well genius as you well know, or should know if you know as much about competative sport as you claim to. Refusal to take a drug test constitutes as failing one. If you don't know this maybe you should look it up on google.

If I remember correctly one of the main reasons the fight fell through last time was because pac refused testing.

Point number 2 mr genius the reason why refusal to take a drug test constitutes failing one is because you can't attain the blood of the athlete to test (that surely should be a no brainer) cuz he or she won't let you. You can't prove pac either way because he wouldn't allow his blood taken by USADA. Funny how he would allow a blood test to the people that check him for hepititus and AIDS before a fight though. Hmmmm very odd that.

Now I'm sure your comeback will be something along the lines of....

'well pac is taking the tests now!!'

And just to repeat myself 'THE GUY HAS HAD WELL OVER 6 MONTHS TO GET CLEAN NOW!!'

For me the decisive evidence will come on the night of the fight. Even if pac loses but fights the way he did before his USADA drug tests then i'll concide that he was clean all along. If pan gets annihilated on the night, then things are going to look really suspicious on the night aren't they.

So there you go. you learn something new everyday. Glad I could be of service.

Now. Decisively prove to me he's clean. Thats the only reply I'd be interested in.

Maybe Elterrible Morales needs to find and engage his own brain before slagging others off like a little bitch.

According to Yahoo sport, A huge step has been taken to make the fight happens, the 2 biggest problems, the purse and the blood test apparently have been fixed:http://sports.yahoo.com/box/news;_yl...floydpac063010
