So much for Khan-Maidana.
So much for Khan-Maidana.
God please no i already had to have one of my favorites lose to Amir Khan, please not JMM aswell. JMM isn't even a natural Lightweight, what is it with boxing today. Pick on someone in your own weightclass.
Marquez has more of a chance of ko'ing Khan. He only has to get hit by somebody with average power as he proved against Willie Limond for him to be on queer street. This fascination with wanting to see him in with a very limited banger doesn't make any sense, seen as though Marquez should land quite frequently with good power.
Marquez is a solid opponent for Mayweather at 147 but he isn't good enough for Khan at 140? How highly must you all be rating Khan.![]()

Marquez was hardly a solid opponent for PBF. I doubt anybody on here thinks that but I totally see your point. Marquez is P4P afterall and a class act. He will land plenty punches on Khan but maybe that's what GBP want. They can then assess Khan's chin against admitidly a smaller guy but no means a soft puncher.
I don't think anyone thought Marquez was a solid opponent for Mayweather and it show'd he was way to small. As for not been good enough for Khan, sure he's a better p4p fighter but he's not the biggest lightweight and he's giving away 3 inch in hight and about 4 inch in reach against a light welter in Khan...
Since been sparked by Prescot, Khan has beaten a bum, a small Barrera by headbutt and didn't have the decency to give him a rematch, and 3 guys who have no punch power and now he's going after a guy much smaller than him again... wow what a great champion![]()
If this is a semi final and Khan fights the winner of Bradley v Alexander then this is good match making.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
ha exactly like I said. I told you all 18 months ago that by the end of 2010 Khan would take on Marquez and would beat him and everyone laughed at me, saying Marquez would kill him.
I explained that by the time it came around you'd all change your tunes and say Marquez was too old, too small, it was a handpick job for Khan etc, and I think it was Missy who told to get fucked and stop smoking.
Anyway, as you were...![]()
timing is everything (& he's still a cunt & so is his ginger cripple sidekick)
Ya, but Marquez has been through so much in the last few years. And after him fighting Mayweather, then having to drop back down in (2) weights etc etc. War Casamayor, War Diaz, war Pacquiao. His body is just going to quit.
Hell, I'm shocked everyone is writing off Juan Diaz. He has almost nothing to lose, he sounds more focused than ever, he's training hard, and dropping back down to a weight where he can impose his will.
"Floyd needs to inject Xylocaine into his balls to gain the courage to fight Pacquiao."
- and I quote from some random guy on the internet
Of course he was a solid opponent. He'd just come off ko'ing two of the best lightweights. If you don't think that makes him a solid enough opponent for someone who had a 2 year lay off, then you have to admit it's a solid opponent for a fairly decent light-welterweight? Shirley?

yeah his 2 wins were great for a fighter moving up in weight to lightweight, that still didn't make him a solid opponent for a guy another 2 divisions up(PBF) or even at light welter...
Personally I think he's no business fighting above lightweight, hopefully he proves me wrong and sparks Khan![]()
How do you figure that? Didn't Manny move up, after arguably losing to Marquez, to the same welterweight weight class and then batter the fuck out of Miguel Cotto?
What you mean is that Mayweather beat Marquez easily therefore you can confidently state from your armchair that he obviously was no challenge.
