ok fair enough, thats makes sense. Thanks Scarp.

I'm guessing once you build the ability to do a task blinded (in our case box) you will no longer be reliant on the sense of sight which is the one slowing you down even when ur eyes are open.

I guess I should try shadowboxing with my eyes closed and see how that goes.. I just dont want to be the new kid that looks like he thinks he's the shit, boxing with his eyes closed.

Now, I see how this will really help speed up ur offence.. Do you have any tricks up ur sleeve (that ur willing to share) to sharpen reflexes in defense? I know a lot of it is just being able to read ur opponent and anticipate the shots, but there's gotta be a way to improve reaction time when you see a punch coming towards you, no?

There are Techniques to improve balance and perception, the main one is good posture. As ive said before Oral stability is a main player, what you are trying to avoid has already happened. Understanding what the movement before is takes time .

Also scrap.. when you mention posture.. are u referring to an individuals posture in general.. or are you talking strictly about having good posture in boxing.

Either ways, what would constitute as good posture in boxing? Head aligned with coccyx?

btw.. forgive me for my ignorance

Shut both eyes, eliminate the sense.

Scrap, when you suggest, shadow boxing with your eyes closed, do you suggest slowly focusing and keeping your mind on your technique and really just feeling out what your other senses are telling you.. and slowly speed yourself up as you feel comfortable up until your being able to shadowbox at 100% speed blinded?

btw.. i'm taking your advice, I'm not going to be doing these blinded exercises just yet.. I'm asking out of curiosity and for future reference.
