Forgetting his blip at Manchester United, is Diego Forlan one of the best players in the world at the moment? The man is made for the big occasion. He did it with Villareal, he is doing it with Athletico Madrid and now he is the driving force for Uruguay in the World Cup too. Fooking awesome player! He has out-performed most of the supposed world's best by a mile this year.

Was watching the game at work and saw the first goal from Van Bronckhorst - sensational. Completely missed out on the first Uruguay goal though, was helping a colleague when it actually happened, and taking a call when it was half time.

I was also cheering for a Uruguay equaliser though, I don't care who the underdog are I'll back em!

Gonna be backing the Germans tomorrow though, the Spanish play nice football but they dive too much and I'll take honesty over cynical flair every time. Ozil to every major club in Europe then...?
