Default Need to loose weight around stomach area.

Can you please help me with some training i need to do.

I need to loose as much weight (fat) as possible around my stomach area within the next 8 weeks.

What sort of training should i do and how much, i'm not neccesarly trying to gain a six pack, although that would be a bonus, just to loose weight around the stomach area, but at the same time i DON'T want to loose any bulk from my chest, shoulders, thighs and arms.

Please can you help me with my training, thanks.

This is a really good workout for your abdominal (stomach) muscels, trust me once a day of about 5 mins and the flab will become muscle

(Preferably with a freind) lie down and raise your legs up vertical in the air keeping them together and straight, then get your mate to push them down (NOT TOO HARD) so they nearly touch the floor, then raise your legs again so he pushes them down and continue in a fluid motion till you cant hack it anymore. I can do it continuosly for about 3 mins, try and aim for about 2 mins in a 2-3 weeks. You prob wont nedd that long, trust me the development is rapid.

And do lots of running long distance aswell. I'll see if i can find a demo pic on the internet for that excercise, it sounds a bit confusing written down.

That is a great workout we sometimes do that in our fitness workouts. First couple of times it is really tough and your stomach will hurt for a couple of days but it's definitely worht it

leg raises won't work every muscle in your stomach in all the right ways though if you want to loose fat its going to have to come off all over your body (you can't loose fat off just one area) but you'll only loose alot of size off your arms and chest if they are very fat.

Sorry to break it to you, but you can't lose weight in targeted areas, and you can't turn fat into muscle.

You can only lose weight over your entire body by burning more calories than you consume. Your body will naturally trim down in some areas quicker than others, but you can't control that.

I just noticed that someone already said that lol.

So yeah... you can build the muscle in targetted areas... can't lose the fat though.

Run, skip, jog, high rep weights and EAT RIGHT.

quite right young gun, if you want to lose weight then a run in the morning before you've eaten is quite effective, this burns fat instead of taking energy from the food you have just eaten. If you're looking for a particular exercise to improve tone, strength of muscles in the abdominal region then lots of sit ups and variations of the sit up will work

Thanks to everyone for your help.

    I really apprieciate it.

So if i do the exercise's that have been suggested and do alittle weights for my chest, arms, shoulders and thighs, then i should loose weight from my stomach area and maintain my bulk on the area's where i will do weight lifting.

    Is this correct?

    Thanks.

Just do more cardio-vascular work, ie running and skipping and you need to be doing 30 minutes or more to actually lose weight because that's known to be the time during your exercise that fat will b burned... no explaind that fullyso any more questions just ask
