I was just about to post a thread on this you bastard... lol
I read the same thing, that Tua was losing rounds and came in wild in the 12th and got dropped as well as threw Monte Barret down and got a point taken away, making it a 10-7 round for Barret, and Tua STILL got a draw.
Thats bull$hit but thats boxing too.
I've always liked Tua and Monte Barret myself. Barret may not be the most talented fighter but he has the heart of a champion. He always gets back up and he always comes to win.
He was once knockekd down something like 6 times by Wlad Klitschko years ago and he kept getting back up.
I wish Barret woulda gotten the win if he deserved it. Sounds like he did.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
Monte Barrett is one of those guys who if managed better he would have had a lot better career. I doubt he has much to offer the top heavyweights right now, but he could earn another big payday maybe vs someone like Deontay Wilder who is an up and comer.
Anywho, here are the highlights (scratch that....Round 6)
I've been looking for the knockdown but can't find it
I don't think he's done. Thats just Tua. You know how hes going to fight, you know what he brings to the table. Guys that can move, have slick boxing skills will always give him troubles.
I think he is still a legitamite test for any up and coming HWs. I would love to see him fight David Haye (assuming the Klits fight doesn't happen).
But is David Tua a threat whatsoever to the Klits' bros reign? Absolutely not.

Irony even off draw is he'll probally get yet another decent payday against top sort of guy.Not sure about Wilder, good size & potential but to go from fighting the part time burger flippers he has been to Barrett could be too much way too soon.
Tua.Sometimes I wonder if the worse thing to happen to him was that devastating over played crushing of Ruiz.

This is actually the only fight I've watched from yesterday & tbh I think Barrett deserved the win. He took over & I had him finning by 4 points in the end. I think Tua could still be dangerous if he put the work in like he did for the Shane Cameron fight, but in his last 2 he's come in looking flabby, and Barrett deserved to finish his career with a win last night.
