Default Thoughts on the Bradley win?

I know that Abregu is not exactly cream of the crop but has had some decent wins in the past and he is a tough durable guy who does not quit even after being put down...Add the 4" height and 3" reach advantage with some better then average power and Bradley had something to overcome....Bradley made it look so easy (again I know Abregu is not P4P)...This kid gets better each and every time out....He has not even come close to his peak and is only 26!...

Maybe I am jumping ahead here but I rteally think he will be a P4P fighter inside of 2 years....Not #1 but on the list I believe.....

Was anyone else impressed last night? Anyone else agree on my view of Bradley as a fighter?

Like Bradley.I really do.But that was good...not elite. All things considered,Abregus size, awkward power and weight for Tim a quality win but he seemed off.No jab, combos less and loaded up too much.Good feet though. He has time and is facing a string of quality competion.Wonder if he was a bit stale and feeling stamina late.He should stay at 140 I believe.

I think Bradley is a handful for anyone but I do also think he is beatable, I think a fight with Berto would be fun and entertaining, I can't see Khan well I mean Goldenboy letting Khan in with him right now even though it is a winninable fight for Khan i is also a very tough fight which I see Oscar and his company thinking this fight being much more attractive down the line where both are bigger names and can earn alot more money for a fight which is not a fight where the fighters would be big favourite.

I had to force myself to finish watching the fight.

I lost 15 USD on my Alcine pick. I just like the guy and thought he had a shot at looking decent in there. I never expected an actual pay day, but the person I bet was making me sick with the bragging.

Bradley exudes that star Charisma IMO, balanced overall fighter but not as explosive as his 140 and 147 pound counterparts. Devon Alexander beats him at 140 IMO and maybe even Khan. Berto beats him at 147 pounds too.

Am I the only one who was not overwhelmed by Bradley's performance? I mean he dominated Abregu, which is impressive, but he didn't look as good as he had in the past and it wasn't his best win. Then again, this fight was at 147 and it solidified in my mind that he belongs at 140. Max Kellerman was accurate in his description of Bradley leading up to the fight that Bradley is fast, but not the fastest, is technical, but not the most technical, and has a chin, but not the best chin.

However, he has by far the best resume of the fighters at 140. Not to mention he's undefeated. His wins over Abregu, Peterson, Holt, and Witter (in England) are much, much better than anything anyone else has even remotely done at 140. It's a shame he doesn't have a bigger following. He should next concentrate on knocking off one of the other top guys at 140.

He is very good, but he falls short a little bit in the power dept. He has great upper body movement , slips and bobs and weaves like no other.(Maybe Floyd) Uses a wide variety of punches and puts great combos together. If he could just learn to sit down on his punches he could be P4P.

This to me was his best performance thus far. When I started watching him a few years ago I thought nothing of him. IT seemed to be alot of amatuer fighting. Shoeshine body punches, decent boxing skills Not one thing outstanding just all around good. Lately in his last two fight's he seems to have upped his game quite a bit. What he gave Abregu was boxing 101. Countering the bejesus out of him. I think he is the best 140lber. If he reverts back to his old self, a swarming puncher in almost amatuer fashion and simply pressure will break both Khan and Alexander. Alexander is a bit slicker but I think he still hasn't been tested. One good fight against Urango does not mean he is the best 140 lber does it? Khan can be put down and he seems his spirit can be broken and that is where Bradley shines with a strong heart and will. I think Bradley wins both fight's.

Agree with rantcatrat here. Bradley can dabble at the fringes of 147. But he's way to small to fight the elite there.

He's doing what he can to fight the best at 140 so kudos to him. His performance was impressive, but not awe-inspiring. Abregu is a solid enough test for a stay busy fight and has legit power (hence why Bradley didn't open up as usual).
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

....bradley wins. That's the ultimate goal and more than a lot of other boxers can claim. Judges judge who hits the other guy more. Not his appeal, color of his shorts, or how well he can or can't sing. He taken pretty tough fights and has beaten everyone they've put in there.....i'd say pretty good for a guy who was never supposed to be a champion in the first place.

As for opening up I think Bradley is just a smart fighter not so much he is afraid to be hit (Not saying you implied that..Or maybe you did ).....I think the knockdown in the Holt fight taught him a lesson about being careless..

We know he is beatable and we know his chin can be dented a bit but like I said in my original post the kid gets better every time out and that is the most important thing...It shows he works on his mistakes and has the desire to be better....The fact he even took a fight at 147 when he did not need to shows his desire...

The size thing is an issue though he is more suited for 135 in truth I wish he would shed a bit of muscle and fight at LW but then again we all know what has happened over the last few years to fighters who have shed muscle to fight lower...EG- Chris Byrd and Jones...

Like I said right now he is just looking like the future of the sport along with guys like fellow lb champion Alexander and Kahn, fighters like Dirrell, Ward etc

'Just finished watching the fight. He did fine for his welter debut. Damn, I thought he was 5'8" or something. Pac is even taller than him. He's got tendency to slug. He throws wide punches, and doesn't cocoon or at least get out of bad spot right away when he misses with his power shot. Difinitely he's not ready for PacMay caliber. I also believe Khan and Alexander are more skillful than him. He would hit the canvas against Maidana if he use the Abregur fightplan.
