I find it a bit ridiculous for Pac and his team to be looking for Cotto II just to score another easy weight title. Even worse, to see Pac fans totally rooting for that fight. It's not so much because "Oh my gawd, that will be such a great fight" but more like "There's an easy opportunity to win another weight title, go go go".

I thought boxing fans enjoyed seeing challenging fights not just easy fights.

Just make Pacquiao fight @ 140..

Because Margarito should never be allowed to fight again.

I'll be honest, I wasn't aware of what happened during that fight. Just checked up on it on wikipedia. Bloody hell, tragic.

    A horrible tragic story...
You should do more research on it. I could easily paste links and stuff but it's more exciting when you do the search yourself...
There's a doc. film on the event, the fight is on YouTube if your interested in seeing it. I haven't and there's loads of pictures of what Collins face looked like after the fight.

Done a bit of research on it this moring. Jesus wept, his face at the end of the fight. What I found hard to believe was when his father realised he had padding out of his gloves, he called in the commissioner but then didn't seem to do much else. Then Resto was all smiles and dancing around the ring. I am surpised his father didn't try to throttle him after seeing the damage it had done to his face. What annoys me is, Resto got two years in prison along with his trainer, that is what should have happened to Margarito. Fair enough he didn't fight with the plaster but the intent was there and he would've worn them into the bout had they not been discovered by Nazim Richardson. He could've done the same, if not worse, damage to Mosley. Even Cotto's face was reminiscent of Collin's face after the Resto fight.

    Spot on koppas...
and to think that trainer Panama has gotten involved with boxing again just kills me.
He and Resto deserved to be jailed for life.

Margarito dominated Cotto and gave him a beating. That would have boosted his ego and self-confidence.

His next fight was against Mosley who had been beaten by the boxer he just busted. Why would he then use loaded gloves in that fight when he didn't need it before? It just doesn't make sense.

Conclusion: He was already 'dirty' in the Cotto fight.

Cotto vs Margarito II will put them in an even playing field.
