Nice thread...nice boxing fan classification too.
As a boxing fan i can be a combination of all the categories stated. One thing of me is that i watch boxing matches 3 days in a week and i find joy doing it especially if i watch the fights live.

Three days a week is a pretty good rate. I'd like to watch more boxing, but I usually try for at least once a week. Watching fights live is a real treat. You don't get the replays and the different angles, but there's another kind of excitement that only comes from seeing the fight live.

Through my years as a fan I've been in everyone of those phases...
Anyone who sits there and types that they have been one way all the time is lying.
As of today I've become about 90% Objective with about 10% Nationalistic. But I'm gradually breaking into the 90 percentile as sometimes I predict against my own.
So that's pretty much me...

Without a doubt. 100% Objective.

70% obejectve
20% hater
10% bully
I'm mainly an objective boxing fan, been watching boxing in early '90s, around RJJ's prime, then became hardcore around mid '90s and was a big DLH fanboy. Now I'm not a fanboy of any fighter. I can be somewhat opinionated with some things boxing related. And yes I do have a "hater" streak in me when it comes to certain fighters, like David Haye, Amir Khan, etc. You know the ones where they brag and boast and really hasn't establish themselves or avoids certain fights or has an easy ride up the boxing ladder.

Bad thing to have. No need to hate on a fighter for no reason. It's one thing to critic a fighter. It's another thing to just bad mouth him for no apparent reason. It happens a lot to some of my personal favorites. Being the massive Pacquiao, Calzaghe fan I am it does sadden me to see them being attack on a regular basis. But there's nothing I can do about it but defend there good name while at the same time acknowledging some of the criticism is well deserved
