Yeah I remember those knockdowns and I think the ref did mess up but he was clearly more biased towards Steve. No way was Chris getting a decision in Irlenad but the KD in the 10th was too clean for the ref to call it a slip. I bet if Steve called it no knockdown though the ref would have been in two minds. He was probably waiting to see how Steve reacted before making his decision.
Prime for prime Eubank was in a different league.
If the KD's were counted against Collins, R2 would've been 10-8 Eubank instead of 10-9 Collins and R10 would've been 10-7 Eubank instead of 10-8 Eubank. If the KD against Eubank wasn't counted, R8 would've been 10-9 Eubank instead of 10-8 Collins.
Despite all of that, I still have Eubank winning with the KD's scored/not scored as they were by the ref.
Eubank- 1,3,4,6,10(10-8 ),11,12
Collins- 2,5,7,8(10-8 ),9
114-112 Eubank
I'm tempted to have R8 as 10-9 to Collins instead of 10-8 Collins, because Eubank rallied back hard and shook him, and the KD was actually balance. (If I did that, it's 115-112 Eubank..)
I think Eubanks said himself that for the second fight Collins won by being more awkward that he was.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
