Khan at 140 is too big for Marquez. It's a close fight only because Marquez is a very intelligent, experienced boxer. Khan is at his prime and fighting at 140. Marquez at his prime was fighting at what, 126? And now he is passed his prime. There are similar reasons for fighting Marquez that there were Paulie, not one punch power, not as fast, and smaller, although I would agree that it is a step up in competition.
I'm more excited about seeing Khan face Maidana, Bradley, or Alexander. Those are compelling matchups, each for different reasons.
I feel like lightweight is where Marquez belongs and he should fight Kastidis at lightweight. That's a better fight for him. I wouldn't count out Marquez, but I favor Khan.
