I have to disagree. It was a good close fight that either guy sorta could've lost. I put it like this if ishe would have won i would have said fernado should have done more, just like in this case i think ishe could have done more. Just like these super six fights. You gotta realize going in that the hometown guy is going to have the advantage, complain all you want you know that going in and the record books don't care either way.

If Ishe didn't take all those early rounds off he would have gotten the nod. I didn't hear the judges scorecards, but if you posted them with this, there might be a compelling argument. (who knows if good 'ol Gay Van Hoye is in the mix)

What bothers me about fights like this, is when the young prospect looks worse from wear adn the old man is coming on strong as the fight progresses. I felt the rounds Ishe won were more decisively his. This is not a bad decision, though. This should be a textbook type of fight judges should have to see before being thrown into bigger fights. Not too hard to score unless you aren't paying attention to what round it is.

They should justgo at it again in a couple weeks like the old timers used to!

I don't think he got screwed.Just wasn't his night.Now in hindsight he screwed himself vs Jacobs,more throwing less waiting and Isheisms.

I also disagree. Smith did not throw enough punches. I only gave him a couple of rounds.

However, showtime announces were gushing over him the entire fight, which might have given some fans the false illusion that he was winning, when he was getting severally out worked.

Smith won 3/4 of the first four rounds AND knocked Guerrero down.

He was a welterweight against a hard hitting middleweight, and he BLOCKED damn near most of Guerrero's shots AND knocked the much bigger younger man down.

Smith won the fight.

I got it drilled into my head by my coach to never let a fight to a dision, and if you think the fight will go to a decision, move your hands and feet and get busy.

Ishe is a good boxer, kinda felt for that the man
