Pluses and minuses on both sides:
The only thing that worries me is that Cotto is not a prototypical junior middleweight. His height and reach are ideal for 147, not 154. Also, the age factor is clearly in TCO's ("the coddled one") favor. Plus, TCO's got the size to be a junior middleweight. But, while Cotto's been in some wars, I don't think he's as shot as some people think he is. By far his most physically taxing fight was with Margacheato, but he's shown to have recuperated from that. Plus now he's got Emanuel in his corner, which clearly should have happened several fights ago. Resume? Please... that's not even a basis for comparison. You'd be comparing a future HOF'er with a TCO with a carefully and meticulously crafted record. Heart and warrior mentality? Same thing... no comparison. Would be insulting even to suggest otherwise. Getting Roach in his corner was obviously a shrewd move by TCO's camp. There's no denying he called it correctly before the Cotto-Pac fight. But Cotto isn't getting coached by Joe "WTF" Santiago anymore, either. So all in all, it should be entertaining for awhile. But as someone else well put it several posts ago...
Cotto is WORLD CLASS.
TCO is not.
Advantage, Cotto.
