It happens from time to time. And Not only with fighters but with everyone. In general people seem to respond better to a fighter when he accepts that it was his fault and not make any excuses for the loss.

I finally watched the fight and I must agree. A top 5 p4p guy isn't supposed to let the Pascal's of the world get off the way he was able to. I'm a fan of Bad Chad and it was painful to watch Chad let Pascal fight in spurts and then run away over and over again. Maybe it was because Pascal's punching power shocked Dawson? I'm not sure. Either way, top 5 p4p fighters shouldn't let that happen. Chad should have been classier in defeat as well. Doesn't Pascal's win make Diaconu look good?

And this must eliminate Dawson from p4p contention for a while. The reason is that twice we've seen him beat or almost beat against guys that we all agree with Dawson's talent/skill, he should beat. Against Johnson, the first time around, and now against Pascal. He shouldn't have lost either fight, but both times, for some reason, mental lapses probably, he almost lost or lost. Even if you're a fan of Dawson's who believes that he would win a rematch with Pascal, and even if he does, he shouldn't top the p4p lists for a while with those consistent mental lapses.
