talk about a guy who could do with a break

so many world class athletes he has been in with, so many times he has JUST falling short and in many peoples eyes not had the luck on his side

id love to see collazo take out a big name, genuinely awkward guy to fight against who is quick on his feet

It was the Mosley fight that did it. He was meant to give Shane a bit of a test and he was doing really well until he fractured his hand. He caught Mosley 2 or 3 times with straight lefts in the 2nd round (iirc) and he looked really good. Unfortunately he also fractured his hand in that round and effectively fought one handed. He was unfrotunate against both Berto and Hatton. He gave Hatton a pasting really, but switched off in some rounds allowing Hatton to steal them on work-rate.

Quality fighter imo. Shame he's never had that big break go for him.

The Hatton fight was close, but I thought Hatton did just enough. The Berto fight was better for me. He should really have got back after that and tried to claim his spot. A very decent fighter and a shame we haven't seen more of him really.

I could really do with a Callazo update. Berto's handlers are scaaaared of a rematch with this guy. He took Berto down a dark hallway in that barn burner.

Callazos got skills, but he really needs a good punch. I feel like his inside fighting has gotten a lot better. He really is a spectacle of an athlete, too. I know it's hard as hell to tell with all those tattoos. He doesn't gas in fights, and I he puches a lot to make up for the power.

Wouldn't a Matthew Hatton v. Luis Collazo match in Manchester be a good fight? May be toooo big of a step up for Hatton, but it's now or never, isn't it? It would probably bring the kind of money to the table that Collazo wants too.

Collazo could also look to Cintron or Quintana. All Puerto Rican matches.

Ricky has always given off the impression he loves his brother. Collazo-Matt Hatton is a three round mismatch.

Also Matt Hatton is no big deal in the UK. All his fans arrive in the same taxi (courtesy of Steve Bunce).

Totally agree. They would be fun matchups (just so long as Cintron doesn't jump out of the ring or start to levitate or any such nonsense).

He's very athletic, he might. Manny Steward said he can bowl or levitate or anything athletic and I believe in Manny Steward.

Ha ha yeah well Kermit is adding all kinds of aspects to his game.....I like Collazo Vs Quintana though...It is a boxers matchup so one for those who really like the tech aspect and not looking for a KO to see

I don't think Andre Berto would be scared of a rematch, i think he won by atleast a few rounds. Luis Collazo done nothing in the middle rounds, he held his hands down for 1 minute in one round throwing no punches, how the hell can you expect to win a decision doing that ?

Andre Berto gutted it out winning the last round, and i was more impressed with Andre Berto. he also left it too late in the Ricky Hatton fight.

The reason he hasn't got any big fights is because he's had 3 big chances, and he's failed in all 3 of them. Ok he was a bit unlucky in the Shane Mosley fight, with the damaged left hand.

But in the fights with Hatton, Berto, he simply got outhustled and didn't do enough. And he only has himself to blame.
