...the way boxing works is that fighter A that's ducking fighter B until the money is "right" gets stopped by some shmuck before the "megafight" happens....that's the way boxing works. This ain't the movies, and I'm not saying Audley will be the one to upset the apple cart, but I HIGHLY doubt this fight happens before Chicken Little loses his first heavyweight bout.

I think Niko's girl is right but still, it's kind of ridiculous nonetheless. It's pretty much been broken promise after broken promise from Haye since he fought Enzo. I think if Wlad would have offered to fight him on that escalator during their first confrontation, Haye would have found a way to say that that escalator just wasn't right and he would rather fight in a escalator where more people could watch and one that moved down instead of up. It's nuts, this thing just needs to happen.
However, after Haye blitzes Harrison (haha @ anyone giving Harrison even the slightest of chances), there will be plenty of people criticizing him in this thread and others who will then give Haye a better shot to beat Wlad if they ever meet.

My beef is that the fight is just so extraordinarily meaningless. I mean, what schlups are really going to want to pay for this farce? Nobody in their right mind seriously expects it to go more than 3 rounds. Maybe Haye will carry Audley to the 6th and end it there. But Harrison will probably collapse regardless before it even gets to that point. It's a farcical matchup. The worst in recent memory. You can understand a fighter coming back after a loss taking such a fight, but not a fighter who has an unbeaten run and already had an easy fight since winning the belt.

That's not Wlad "being worried" that's Wlad being THE Champ and earning his fair share and rightfully so seeing how WLAD is the guy fighting in front of 60K plus

That's sort of my original point. Haye needs more bargaining power, because i actually reckon he would prefer the fight to be in England, or at least he would prefer to be on a more equal financial footing to either Klitschko when it comes to negotiating.
To do this he has to sell a lot of ppv's, and he has to hang on to his title. Harrison is perfect for this, as A) - it should be an easy fight, and B) - Sky will advertise the fuck out of it. Haye will get rich (again), the ppv does impressive numbers. Meanwhile Wlad bores his way through a rematch with Sam Peter.
Haye's stock rises further, Wlad's pretty much stays the same even if he wins, and that's provided he looks good.
Haye can then sit down and demand a fairer share of the deal. It's not even difficult to understand. Haye's been playing this game for over 2 years now. He's trying to put his name on equal footing to the Klitschko's, and he's actually doing quite well. Maybe not with the hardcores, but in effect they don't matter. He's appealing to the casuals and they're the fans who will make him a very rich man and the sort of following he continues to generate will continue to give him more weight at the negotiating table.
It's a game. You can say what you want about Haye, but he knows what he's doing. He's self-promoted himself from Friday Night Fight Night to PPV star, and he's made himself a lot of money on the way.
Do you really think he'd sell out the MEN without repeatedly calling out the Klitschko's? He's doing a cracking job and if it doesn't all end with him fighting either Klitschko (or both) then i'm Frank Warren.
Edit: In other words Lyle, relax, it will happen.

When?
Directly after the Harrison fight? After the Harrison fight and a WBA mandatory?
Of course you do know regardless of when its planned Chicken Little will call out Wlad and its just grown tiresome. Also I would like to point out that Don King is now in the mix and he has kept his boy Valuev safely hidden from the Klitschko's for quite some time now.
What happens to Chicken Little's drawing power if Audley makes a fight out of it or Chicken Little looks like Adamek did vs Grant and just earns a decision?
I'm just saying he's pushing his luck with these fights even if it doesn't seem like it.

I'd rather see Haye fight Tyson Fury than Audley Harrison - for even more comedy value.

I agree, the more fights he has before he fights either Klitschko, the more chances he has of losing. In reality that risk of losing is far, far, far greater if he goes straight into a fight with eith Klitschko. The Harrison fight is a certain W in Haye's eyes.
I think he'll go Harrison - Mandatory - Vitali - Hopsital![]()

He'd look like a total b*tch (well, more of one) if he didn't fight Wlad first....but it hasn't seemed to bother Chicken Little so far

Most casual fans don't know the difference between the Klitschko brothers. So in reality, it won't matter. He'll fight whoever he feels he has the better chance of beating. Imo, he has little chance of beating either of them.
I can see the theory behind Haye winning. He's got good lateral movement, and he he's very explosive and fast for a Heavyweight. He'll give Wlad and Vitali something different to think about, and both could struggle with Haye's movement.
The reality is Haye is too easy to hit with the jab and it'll only be a matter of time before he gets caught with a right hand over the top. Then it's curtains.

I'll say it again - I'm all for this one to boost boxing in Britain
if haye had got his arse in gear - and fought 4 Audley months or so after Ruiz - with a view to going aftyer Wlad early next year I don't think people would moan so much (especially us Brits)
However its the fact that Haye may leave it another 10 months or so after this one that pisses people off - and I am totally with that one. He keeps saying he wants to retire soon but on no urgency to get in the ring.
Quick KO win against Audley and a Klit in April - how would that go down with you lot ??
Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate

The thing is though Lyle you have to look at PPV sales in Britain as that will be the biggest money maker for a fight between Haye and either Klit. And in reality Vitali is a lot better known by the armchair boxing fan due to his fights with Lennox and Herbie Hide and Vitali is also known as the better brother too by the average fan. I used to agree with that but Vitali is on the slide now and I feel Wlad is the better of the 2.
All in all Vitali would be the bigger money maker for Haye and I think he is the easier option so I think that is who Haye will take first.

Little look at Audleys recent history...........
Audleys last 5 years:
2005 L12 Danny Williams
2006 L10 Dominic Guinn
2006 KO3 Andrew Greeley 10 wins 11 losses (wow!!)
2006 TKO3 Danny Williams (only half decent win)
2007 KNOCKED out in round 3 by Michael Sprott
2008 TKO5 Jason Barnet 10 wins 6 losses ( way to step up)
2008 W10 George Arias 41 wins 10 LOSSES
2008 LOST to 10 fight vet Martin Rogan
2009 wins 3 in a row in 1 night in scheduled "3 rounders"
against fighters with 6 pro fights, 8 pro fights and 10 pro fights
2010 getting beat comfortably by a fighter with 14 losses until he landed a lucky/good punch in the last round to win...
So do people really think this is acceptable he is also ranked 42nd in the division.
