Question: What fight would make more money?

We all know that a fight with Vitali, the man who pushed Lennox Lewis into retirement would make most money because of the amount of Sky PPV sales that would generate. I seriously think Haye vs Vitali would get somewhere around 1.5million sales in Britain and it would sell out any venue here too. But Haye is playing the waiting game and not taking the fight. No one is denying that Lyle.

Lets say Haye can get £5million for being a 70/30 underdog against a Klit or £2.5million for being a 90/10 favourite against Audley. He loses to a Klit and he's back at the bottom of the pile. A spectacular KO over Audley increases his value for future fights.

Yeah maybe £15m is a bit excessive. I forgot Sky will take a percentage of the PPV. I reckon it wouldn't be off £5m.

If Haye was a 140 pounder like Hatton no way he fights guys like Tszyu or Pac or Floyd. He would have fought for a title against some crappy champ and milk it for all it's worth at that weight, sounds like con boy!

I disagree. Hatton took 38 fights before he fought anyone who remotely expected to beat him. You could make a case for both his greatest wins coming against guys who were over the hill (not saying they were, just saying you could make a case for it).

Haye's earlier competition was strong. Fragomeni, Hurov and Rossitto were all tough tests. He also got Warren to agree to the Enzo Mac fight, at a time where Enzo was considered dangerous. He then went to Paris and knocked out Mormeck, and later went to Germany to fight Valuev.

Hatton fought Floyd and Pac after 40+ fights. You can't really judge Haye until he has retired, because there is a chapter in his career that hasn't been written yet.
