Good discussion, the way I see it if somebody says some dumb statement - if they are
inexperienced in boxing or just trying to be some wise guy. For the inexperienced, then it becomes a learning process. For the wise guy, then it should be gloves off and a free for all in the
counterpunching some idiot statement. Then there are those honest errors that we all make from time-to-time i.e. we can all have a "oops moment".

To be fair everyone's had their moments of shining idiocy. No big deal we are all human it's part of the human condition. Almost everyone here has brought something to the table that makes this an entertaining place.

As far as logic is concerned, I believe that it is the default setting in fields of politics and sports to be a lawyer (slanting facts one way to make an argument, ignoring others to save the argument) as opposed to being a juror (making a judgement on provable facts).

There will always be the "He has a good record on boxrec so he must be good" and the "Fighter A beat Fighter B, Fighter B beat Fighter C so Fighter A must beat Fighter C" equation.
