I'm all for fighters talking shit and selling fights, but blatant, overt racism (and IMO homophobia) is going too far. No one else in our society is able to publicly make those kinds of remarks without consequence, why should Mayweather - a multi-millionare public figure and perhaps even a role-model to some - be allowed to do so?
I just think you guys are taking it too serious and getting too wind up. Ali said things much worse to Frazier and he's 1 of the most beloved sportsman on Earth.

As Miles pointed out, Hopkins said he wasn't going to let a whiteboy beat him. Again it's to sell the fight.

Rosie O' Donnel did the same thing, she's a multi-millionaire and role model to gays. Again nothing happened, it was just a joke.



I'm sorry to say this, but in society some groups can get away with it and some groups can't it's just the way it is.
