He just can't make the weight. He couldn't in the second Forrest fight either. I doubt it's a lack of professionalism or a lack of dedication.

What's his penalty? Is the fight still happening?

It was a weird weigh-in day. Some people might want to reevaluate the knee jerk response.

Sergio Mora three pounds over weight limit for bout against Sugar Shane Mosley - ESPN Los Angeles

"Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer said Mora told him he was surprised to be overweight because he had weighed himself earlier on another scale at his hotel and was on weight. Schaefer said Mora believed the official scale was off. Mora might be right because Carlos Baldomir and Vivian Harris, both of whom are on the televised undercard, were also overweight."

Read the article and you will find that Mora actually made weight at 153.6 for the fight but the California rules don't give fighters time to come back for a second weight-in if he is 2 or more pounds over. Anyway the fight is on.

Alvarez actually declined to take the $12,000 from Baldomir's $60,000 because he is earning $200,000. I would be intrested if Mosley did the same for Mora since $57,000 is the fine of of his $285,00 while Mosley purse is $1 million.

Sounds a bit dodgy, more so if all those other guys were coming in heavy too. It seems he made weight anyway, so it would be nice of Mosley to hold back on the penalty. It doesn't really seem justified to me.
