    Default Becoming a Pro..........

Just out of interest, what is required to become a "pro" boxer?

I see guys like Kid Thunder being pro boxers and other guys with 0-50 records. Surely the criteria can't be too strict?

in most of the United States, you require little more then the purchase of a card. Not even sure you require a medical. It is harder to get licensed to fight in amateurs then it is the pros. Thus why you see such things as you mentioned.

Basically the same deal as a tough man contest...sign here, pay the sanction and thanks for coming. Good luck not getting killed.

In Britain you need to prove to the British Boxing Board of Control that you can actually box, pass a medical and need the recommendation of a licensed trainer.

Kid Thunder wouldn't get sanctioned over here.

We do have journeymen with losing records , but we do not have any fighters as poor as Kid thunder. There are basic plant cells on Saturn with better boxing ability than him , the only qualifications needed to box in Kid Thunders state is that you have to be married to your sister for fucks sake !!!!
He wouldnt be allowed to box here , he wouldnt be able to be anywere near a boxing ring.

Maybe you should ask hitmandonny , he is actually a pro , with ability. As oppose to being a freak show like Kid Blunder.

Legally not. There'll be white collar. But you aren't getting on Boxrec.
