As far as movement goes Klitschko was dancing around Peter. He moved a lot more than Peter did with much better footwork......and when Peter started to tire out in about the eighth, he really didn't seem to mind some of that holding too much!

Its not just Wlad - its the whole Heavyweight division in general. last Saturday night fight for example, it was a non event if they were not holding they were posing, nobody wants to get in and fight anymore. its kind of pathetic .

That’s why one gets excited about the David tua's Sam Peter’s and the Mike Tysons they come to fight. . Example Ike Ibauchie -vs. Daivd Tua now that’s a good Heavyweight fight ! Very few clinches and lots of punches.

How bout someone, just one fighter in the top 20. Right now for Peter, that would be a step up from his last 2.
I hear ya ! that last fighter Peter fought was a suck A$$. a 7"2 puss ! it was great to see him hammer that Tall SOB tho ! LOL

Yep....there was no doubt in my mind that he was going in the first......that guy Long could have a hell of a career in the NBA...but he really needs to reconsider this fight game!

If Peter develops his skill some, no one will beat him. He's still going to be the one to unify IMO.

Sam Peter is extremely explosive, natural power, all he needs is a little head movement -- Lord's Gym

I'm behind Sam Peter 100%, but his natural build is his best friend and worst enemy. I agree that he needs head movement, but unless he grows a neck it's not happening. It helped him absorb Wlad's punch, but it makes his head a stationary target.

They should call him Sam "Head & Shoulders" Peter

You're absolutely right on those points and the thing about him that really worries me is that his body doesn't look like an easy one to maintain. He's gonna have to stay focused and stay on top of his game as far as keeping in shape.

Actually no neck is good for a stocky fighter. Ray Mercer, David Tua, ext, you can withstand the onslaught of the taller fighter better. ,the problem with long necked fighters is they exaggerate the punch when they get hit. Judges can easily see a landed punch on the long necks. Plus long necks tend to get knocked out more because of the rotation of the spine / brain when they get hit good. The only thing good about a long neck is if you talking about beer !

Now I think what makes Peter a stationary target is his massive waist line. If he come in at 227-230lbs, he would rule ! CC- thanks for the reply Boxing G
