Watch carefully. You see BOTH his feet sliding forward and he falls on his arse. His head never moves because the shot never even lands. And certainly at no point was he ever "rocked". Also he then gets up and does what an angry boxer should do and finishes his opponent, one thing Wlad is frightened to do until he's convinced his opponents won't fight back.
One thing I did notice rewatching this fight though is how much Hayes defence has started to improve, he was taking albeit little shots that he would never have taken against Valuev and Ruiz due to his ever improving footwork.
Thanks for posting up the Haye/ Barrett vid. I'd forgoten what an entertaining Heavyweight fight looked like. I also forgot just how dramatic Haye's power is.... But also just how bad his punching tekkers is.

He looked pretty rocked to me at 2:30 into that video, I mean getting a punch landed on you and going back in to the ropes counts as rocked as far as I know.
I was ringside for that fight and remember thinking did he get clipped there. When I watched it on TV the day after he def was off balance. That was his biggest downfall vs Ruiz, his balance. But the lack of sparring can really damage important things like that.
Also and more importantly, I think IF Haye lands the first big shot he landed on Ruiz on Wlads chin the fights all over. Anyone agree??
1:34ish
Agreed one punch just isn't going to do it, he took enough single shots from peter without problem. I doubt that haye will get to land that shot on wlad anyways, but at this point honestly I'm not sure they're even getting in the ring with each other for the next year or 2 if at all.
