I dont want to sound cheesy but Margarito might be the one entering this fight with the eye of the tiger, coming back for redemption this guy is very hungry to stop our heroic PAC in his tracks. Very dangerous for Manny.

I just hope people will give Manny full credit if he stops Margarito.

    pavlik,

if pac beats margarito, i will definitely give him his props. you know, with all this talk about margarito being an "easy" or "stay busy" fight for pacquiao, i think margarito is being taken very lightly by most everyone. and i'm willing to bet he's reading all of this negative stuff about him and it is just going to pump him up.

but yeah, if pacquiao can beat margarito, i will call it like it is and will give pacquiao all the props he deserves.

I don't know about you guys but I think Margarito is close to being a shot fighter, or at the very least semi-washed up.

Arum isn't going to risk Pac losing before the Mayweather fight takes place. Money still rules guys.

    bulldog,

you could very well be right. sometimes fans like me, will try to look at the positive side of a fighter who is perceived as going downhill but subconsciously, they may very well know the truth. hope you're wrong though.

Scary thought for me is what if Marg do actually try to box semi defensive ala Clottey behind a good jab to set up his powershots. Tony with his physicality just needs polishing from a trainer like Garcia to make him more dangerous. This fight as it gets closer is probably the scariest fight for me. Take care bud.

Speaking like a true scumbag like most boxing managers. He's doing an awful job hyping the fight.

    PSL,

why is he a scumbag and how is he doing a lousy job hyping the fight? i think he's hyping the fight perfectly by saying margarito is going to beat him. do you want him to say margarito is going to lose and that he has no chance?

or, are you just getting a little bit more worried?

I think this is a 50-50 fight at this stage.Tony jabbed the hell out of Cotto in the 1st round but in attempting to back Manny his pressure will see him taking alot of leather off lateral and hand speed where Cotto backs straight and 'sits' along ropes. Pacquioa will have to fight one of the more boxer disciplined fights he's had in last 4 or 5 as Margarito's when getting effected he wont back and his uppercut can be huge on Manny.

This version of Margarito is a shadow of the fighter who fought Miguel Cotto. Margarito's size is the only reason this fight might be competitive.

I think alot of the past it talk is a bit outta whack. People cutting conclusions pre and post glove gate,he cant do what he did...not to mention the shellacking Mosley put on him and how ANY fighter comes back from 1st ko loss. Manny has natural gifts, speed, tenacity, momentum and drive that many dream of and I lean towards him to put on a disciplined power-box display for win. But sometimes size and volume get it done, who knows. He's not faced a frontal, offensive minded and long natural sized guy like this...Cotto off two wars was the only "live" guy he's faced and after all Pac is the one coming up. Say one thing....1st to be backed in straight line gets ktfo.
