its bigger then baseball cuz in the NFL you dont gotta spend 5 years playing consistentley for 100K a year in the minor league system
A bit off point but...

One of the main reasons for the NFL's greatness is that every game counts. You play 16 regular season games and the playoffs are win or out. It's also what makes boxing great. 12 rounds...make them count.
by popular i mean with people who are considering a career in sports, they go for football cuz they have the best chance at making money
