If 20 million people watch this shit, then it tells me that the UK is not my home. At the same time, if I am forced to listen to it in my own home then maybe my own home is not my own home either.

I am an alternative man with alternative views and to hell with crap like the X factor. I like proper music and proper music has its own definition.

Alternative music will find its way, but this X factor shit should be banned. Anybody who buys this "Heroes" cover for charity should be shot IMO. I am not against charity, but this song is being abused. It is one of the classics of our rock and roll past, and here we have a bunch of Big Brother wannabe's cutting it up. I really don't approve.

To be fair, TV in general is fairly shit. Flick through the TV guide on Sky. X Factor would be the least of your worries.

Doesn't bother me at all. The media obsession with an emotionally unstable 17 year old gypsy rapper bothers me much more than the programme in itself. Granted, i don't watch once it gets past the audition stages, but it's still probably not as bad as half of the shite sky get away with broadcasting.

I've actually warmed to Xfactor this year, first time ever. The main reason is because most of them actually can sing. They might not be musical geniuses like some of the greats mentioned, but why should they be, it's not a show about making your own music, it's about singing and performing.

That Matt what ever his name is, he's good, you can just tell he'll bring out unique music after the show.

Inbetweeners is on tonight, watch that instead.
