Re: Haye accuses Klit bros of fighting old run down Americans and rejecting his offer
Unusually, Haye kept silent for a while, but eventually responded. He insists the back injury that forced the cancellation of the 2009 bout with Wladimir was legitimate and that he chose to challenge Valuev rather than Vitali because he received a far better financial offer with less onerous options. Addressing his fans on youtube,
he blamed the failure of the 2010 negotiations on the Ukranians, saying he demanded a 50-50 split, but Klitschko rejected it citing conditions laid down by his German TV contract. "I then said, 'Okay you keep 100 percent of German television money and I keep 100 percent of UK TV money. And we split everything else 50-50.' He didn't answer that. So I gave him two options, and he flat out refused both of them."

So clearly not only is someone backing out of this through the negotiations game, but also one of the two has blatantly lied. I'm not saying it's Haye, it could be either one of them. Either way though, Haye has acknowledged here he was okay with a 50/50 split including TV options. The thing we don't know is who first approached who, as they have both claimed to have initiated a total 50/50 split offer, whomever made the offer first therefore is telling the truth.

For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
