Very odd indeed mate, considering the club had known about his intentions for the last 8 weeks and he does a u turn a few days after it hits the press?

I think maybe we have persuaded him to stay for the time being with the promise of some big players coming??

Then if nothing materiailzes then maybe let him go in a year or so with him being tied up us getting alot more money and he having his wish?

I do think he had genuine concerns though. I don't buy the theory that he was just looking for a pay-rise. It'll all be forgotten once he starts scoring again anyway. He's a quality player, but he's no Jonjo Shelvey.

He had already agreed the deal before the incidents last night.

I think this is bollocks I don' buy it at all how can he change his ming in a few days after giving his intentions to United on August 14th.

I honestly think Fergie and Gill have told him he owes United and if he don't sign he won't be playing for the first team again, so basically sign the contract United get more money with the transfer fee, I would put money on him going in the summer.
