Actually they did. Moorer had put a lot of trust into Roach. He had bought into the crap Roach was spitting. He was looking forward to taking over Roach's spot. And hopefully matching his success. Moorer was greatly shocked, disappointed and hurt to find out that Roach's success was due to chemicals injected by needle. Moorer wanted no part of the fraud known as the Wild Card gym.
To be fair VD, I think Roach takes a 'see no evil, hear no evil' approach to what his fighters do. I think he's aware that some guys may do it, but he simply sees it as his job to train them, the rest of it is their responsibility. Also before all the Pac-lovers get in a twist, I think this can be demonstrated by how he handled the James Toney thing, where Roach even said he suspected he was on something, but didn't say anything.
Of course he didn't. It would of been stupid of him. When junkies get arrested there dealer don't go around saying "he got the stuff me. Yes I'm the one who gave it to him". Roach is just preaching from the drug dealer handbook he keeps where his bible use to be. And he's following one of there main rules. Deny involvement.
