I only had Munroe winning two of the first four rounds but reckon one of those could have gone either way.

Well done for going the distance in the end.

    Agreed.

I had Munroe winning the 1st, 2nd and 4th and that was it.

I thought the Jap would get a home decision whether he deserved it or not. He actually turned out to be a good fighter and hurt Munroe afew times towards the end. The champ should venture away from home and test his skills against the best

To be honest though mate who would trouble him in that division? Molitor for me would get battered off this guy. Maybe Wilfredo Vazquez jr could cause some trouble but I'm not sure about him yet. Jorge Arce isn't the fighter he was since the Darchinyan fight!!

I think Poonsawat can give Nishioka a tough fight, although he just narrowly lost to Lee a few weeks ago.

What you mean like when he KO'd Jhonny Gonzalez in Mexico?

I had it 117-111 to Nishioka, he was truly dominating, but there's no shame in Munroe losing to the best 122lber in the world. Nishioka's body shots were fantastic.

Very brave effort from Munroe, and I thought the 119-109 scores were fairly harsh to be honest. After six, I was really expecting Munroe to kick on and start pushing forward, cutting the ring off and getting in close on Nishioka, it just didn't seem to happen. Nishioka was slipping nicely though, and some of those body shots were totally sickening.

Looking at the top 10 in the division though, I definitely think Munroe deserves to be up there, and probably went up against the toughest of the champions. I've no doubt Munroe will get another shot at a title.

Felt sorry for him leaving in tears at the end of it, but I'm sure he'll be back.

I think Maloney win or loose was looking at fighting Molitar which would be a cracking fight, both fighters com on strong in the last few rounds I would give the edge to Molitar but decent fight if can be made.

Me too. I had Munroe winning one round (think it was the 3rd).

Can't believe the combos Nishioka came out with at the end in the last round. I thought he was well gassed after the 3rd.

Jesus Chavez is on now, looks quite fat these days. Haven't seen him for a couple of years!!
