How did you discover MMA?

I was walking along one day when I saw a tree in the distance, I walked closer to the tree and I could see a dog, so I went over to give it a stroke and it ran towards a bucket. I lifted the bucket and BOOM!

I'd discovered MMA!

I knew it existed but in my huge ignorance I confused it with professional wrestling

and as such I looked at it with contempt. Then I saw on TV one of the first MMA events in my country and I was kind of bored cause I didn't understand all the ground ju-jitstu techniques. Later I've heard about Fedor and out of curiosity I downloaded some of his fights. I got even more hooked researching info about him. Fabrizio Werdum destroyed the myth but I was already a fan of MMA.

First fight I watched was UFC 1 Royce Gracie vs Art Jimmerson (the guy that had one boxing glove lol) To this day that fight still cracks me up.

Saw the first one with about 25 other Marines crammed into a 12x20 barracks room watching a 17inch tv. on ppv.

Chipped in a 12 pack of Natural Ice for my portion of the ppv

got interested watching the ufc on tv about age 11, 12. then was watching a bruce lee movie with my cousin and we got in a scrap after wards, and kicked him in the face and broke his nose. got grounded for a long time.

when off grounding, my dad said, "alrighty then, now that is done, how about boxing?"
