Well it shows Pac isn't afraid to fight anyone unlike Floyd. Since Pac has moved to up in weight to 140 and 147 he's fought some really tough fighters: De la Hoya(though past his prime), Cotto, Hatton, Clottey, and now Margarito...if Pac is able to destroy Margarito it still means something.

If I understood correctly................I don't think it would hurt Pac's legacy at all really, Margarito is visibly huge compared to Pac and Pac is way above his weight.
