I just am not sure about Lacy. He's got a pretty good chin, but he's been rocked before and he gets hits so much that one day he's gonna get KO'd. He has some terrible habits, especially he spends a whole lot of time in the pocket and in close with his left hand down. He's wide open for right hands. I don't know enough about Reid to make a call, I'd pick Joe over Lacy if I had confidence that Joe would box, but Joe likes to fight and I wouldn't be surprised if Lacy got him cause his punches are shorter and straighter than Joe's.

Small is the number of them that see with their own eyes and feel with their own hearts.

I have a feeling Redi could beat Lacy. I've not been the least bit impressed with Lacy. I really don't see what the big deal is. Omar Sheika caused him all sorts of problems. Personally, I think the only reason Lacy has garnered any sort of attention is because he's a decent fighter in a poor division.

Omar Sheika is a decent fighter. I agree Clydey, I dont think Lacey is all that he is hyped up to be, but I think someone with a decent chin and an honest work ethic will beat Reid at present, I dont remember the scores but I fancy Reid would have been UD'd by Magee had Magee remained upright I think Lacy will.

I do fancy Reid for this one. Reids up there with the best in the division. lost his way a little about 4 years ago. He won the title in Italy which is not mean feat but lost disappointingly a year later to Malinga. was screwed in Germany against Otke last year. he also took Calzaghe to a close decision in Feb 1999 in a fight that could of gonna either way. his chins like granite and I think Lacy could get a shock

Ive got a big problem with the Reid Ottke fight in that I think Reid played the role of "hard done by in Germany" to a tee. He bossed the early part of the fight and then let Ottke come back into it down the stretch, Reids corner could see it happening and he did nothing about it, as if he was content to lose and then pull the robbed card afterwards. Dissapointing to say the least.

understand your point there. thing is on the night he fought ottke the referee was picky beyond belief. didnt reid get a perfectly good knockdown taken away from him too? I think reid realises that this is his last chance. he could suprise a few people, its quite close at the bookies too.

Definately mate, Reid was spot on in saying that he feared being penalised for hitting Ottke at one point

Lacy seems to think this is juts a warm-up for Calzaghe but I think he will come seriously unstuck here. Reid is a better fighter than Calzaghe (and should have had the decision against him when they fought) and could cause a massive upset.

    Thoughts
    I absolutely agree!
