I was thinking why not Tony Weeks or Kenny Bayless. Those guys are excellent refs but I don't know if the NSAC would loan them to Texas for a match.

It is a really peculiar choice of referee. Heck, even Jay Nady might have been better.

What's really peculiar is why Laurence Cole still gets to referee in high profile fights when he shouldn't even be allowed to come within a mile away from a boxing ring. Oh well, I guess having your dad in a high ranking position in the Texas boxing commission does have its advantages.Originally Posted by miles
