What a robbery! Urango jumped up and down at the final bell, like he knew what others didn't. You don't win a fight on 19% accuracy w/o a KO! (Is it me or was this fight a copy of the C.Quintana v J.Julio fight... only more defense)

But as I reflect on 2006 boxing, this is now happening every other week, isn't it?

Winky just got robbed (please watch the fight WITHOUT sound!)

Before that, Rocky Juarez got robbed v. Barrera
(which was a Golden Boy card...)

Before that, Luis Collazo lost a closer but very controversial decision. (Hatton's parents were crying in the corner over his loss that was then awarded to him...)

I can go on and on with this year alone. But what I want to know is--

Are they getting that blatant about fixing fights?

How do you feel about the sport if this consistent 'home cooking' is seemingly becoming the norm?

Well calm down cus it ain't as bad as you are makin it out to be:
1. Rabah didn't do shat himself. Copy of the Julio fight? Where Julio was rocked, outboxed, hit CLEANLY, and Consisitently, I think not. Rabah just ran for his life, SURVIVED, landed more slaps and pitter patt shots and hoped he could win a world title that way, I think not.
2. Being a hater of both Winky and Taylor I feel I am an unbias judge, and I saw it as a close fight. A draw wasn't a terrible robbery, although I feel Winky probably deserved it 115-113. Taylor certainly didn't win.
3. I don't care for Barrera, and he looked bad against Juarez, but honeslty you have to do more than what Juarez did to take the title from a great champ like Barrera. A draw is what it should have remained. Juarez came on late and did pretty well for himself, but he didn't convincingly beat Barrera.
4. I agree with ya here. Collazo outboxed, and hit Hatton with solid punches, completely differnt from the Rabah vs Urango borefest. He deserved to get the W against the troll but was robbed.
CC for ya Hulk, this is the best explaination yet....

I would probably add this...

When in a Championship Bout and you feel you are the Champ, you better fight like one and knock your opponents ass out or put one hell of an ass whoopin on that person..The main thing is, if you have to leave it to the judges, then do it where there is no doubt you won the fight....

I seen the Rabah fight in the way of Rabah winning it, but HULK gives the best explaination to the whole thing....Doesnt change my mind, but makes me look at it from different views....

Winky won a close fight IMHO, but I feel that if he felt he was the Champ, then he should not have ran the last two rounds, he should have stayed in there and done what he did for the first ten rounds....

Hatton Definately looked horrible in the Collazo fight, I actually had Collazo with the win on my cards, but a very close win...Nothing to stir the waters....

Good Luck,

Coach
