Utlilize some rhythm in your training.. bounce a bit.. duck and parry every so often. Use your hook as well as an uper cut. On the retraction of your jab your hand lowers, which is lunch for a counter puncher.. keep up the training..
Good advise about the rhythm, put some good funky music on and move to it. Get a groove going and all your punches come out smooth and you not such a target, I think one of the biggest mistake people make on the heavy bag is they see only a heavy bag,.. You got to see that bag as a ferocious opponent waiting to counter every time you thow a shot , and don’t just stand there flat footed , move that head circle that bag, feel that music. Watch some vintage Evander Holyfield you can see that rhythm he had. Its like he hear that music in his head and moves to it
