Default Proof Haye did hold back till the 3rd? Watch this...

Scroll down and theres a little video on the right that clearly shows Haye saying "Now" to Audrey

To be be honest i think fair play if he made himself and a few close mates a few extra quid.

And Ali used to take fights into the latter rounds so more companies could advertise between rounds.

Anyway, interesting to hear your thoughts.

Or the more sceptical might be of the thinking that Audrey was "In on it too" and the whole think was staged from day one.

Makes you wonder if Audrey himself bet "Heavily" (Through a third party) on the 3rd round
for one last big pay out

    Conspiracy theory started.... discuss

Mate your bang out of order. Everyone knows it was Audleys destiny to become world champ. To suggest that Audley the disgrace is a disgrace is a disgrace

    Audreys Statement.......

“To my family, my team and the fans who got behind me on this journey to overthrow David Haye and become Heavyweight champion, I’m sorry I was unable to walk through the door and fulfil my destiny. I can promise I cut no corners in training and did all I could do in getting myself ready both physically and mentally for Saturday’s fight. Ultimately, I didn’t get going and my game plan to take over the fight in the later rounds was extinguished by the power and speed of David Haye who caught me clean around my guard.

“If I wanted an easy way out, I would have stayed down from the knockdown, but I rose and the referee’s intervention saved me from a potentially bad knockout as David is a good finisher, but I would have gladly left the ring on a stretcher as I wanted to work my way through it.

“I make no excuses and I’m not sure where I go from here in boxing, but I’ll lick my wounds, take some time out with my family and see what I want to do.

“From Prizefighter, to the European Title and overcoming a career ending injury and surgery – I am happy to have made my way back to this point. Yes I am defeated and upset about the outcome on Saturday, but my journey in life has been one of triumph and the ‘yes I can’ slogan goes onwards and upwards.

“To David Haye, I’m grateful for the opportunity to fight for the World Title and I’m glad we buried the bad blood between us. I wish you well in your attempts to unify the titles and you have my support.”[/B][/B]

I posted this video on here yesterday in another thread i also stated that they never fellout in early 2006 after that spar as in April 2008 at Calzaghe vs Hopkins they were still good mates and stated they would never fight eachother only way they would is if they both had world titles.

....well that would have done it, if only they stuck to their original plan

I'm not sure he said 'now'. But really it's bloody obvious he held off to the 3rd round.

Was Audley in on it. Nah. I really don't think so.

Haye could have finished that in the first minute if he had really wanted to. He clearly held back. The whole charade reflects poorly on Haye because the fight had no reason to exist in the first place.

Hopefully the British public wakes up after that experience.

After the ensuing media blitz I highly doubt that.

When will he fight next? I guess somewhere between 8-10 months.

Haha, I am known as the forum cynic, but when it comes to this particular fighter I have nothing on you!

Anyway, I quite agree. I'm sure he will find the time in his schedule for a fight sometime next year.
