all the other "next pacquiao's" have been total busts. so tell me, what current boxers are going to step up and become the next world champions? that's why i wrote for you to enjoy pacman while you still have him cause when he's gone, philippine boxing practically disappears!
What's the point in bringing up the country?
Pacquiao is for the boxing fans to enjoy, not just Filipinos. It may take some time before someone of Pacman's caliber comes along and it may not even be in our lifetime.

It's comments like that, the reason that people want to see him lose.
Pacquiao already lose 3 times so it won't be something new.

The guy went through 8 different weight divisions and that's no easy feat. Do you forsee anybody doing that anytime soon even with the use of a catchweight? Take note that I wrote there that "it may not even be in our lfetime", which implies that I'm not 100% sure. And to think that Manny still appears to be in his prime nearing age 32 when a number of boxers had been considered to be on the downturn in their late 20's.

He started when he was 17, most fighters from well developed countries when they are that age they're amateur and training for the olympics. Floyd won gold gloves at 16 when he was the same size as pac. 106lbs...

Yeah so in that light, yeah its possible that because most countries dont have their young talents thrown into professional fighting at 17. He may well be one of the last.

But from age 16-17 floyd mayweather has gone up the same amount of weight.
That's why we should appreciate what Manny has done until it last. Other excellent and great boxers will rise after Pacquiao fades but there will only be one MANNY PACQUIAO.

There will only be one of any fighter. It just means that his country may start to develop younger fighters as amateurs and form an olympic boxing team. And they wont have to worry about being kayoed as teenagers.
