Definitely. He's still an elite fighter, probably still top 10 P4P, he just got caught with an excellent punch. I think he'll come back strong.

No way he is top ten p4p, get him back in there with Cintron that fight looked like it was going to be close, I think Pac would beat him. His skills are very basic and he relys on his courage,Workrate and stamina he gets beat by the very best.
He is world class but elite not for me.

He says so long to p4p. Big question is has pandoras box been opened on his chin which has been looking less and less reliable. After that he has his awesome volume left.....maybe I'm off but I think he's on the other side of it!

As people have said in other threads, Paul needs to learn how to really box and use his height and reach advantages, too much reliance on workrate.
Still a very good fighter though, just needs to work out some of the flaws.

I think these guys who use there faces as there defense like Williams and Froch will eventully get knocked out like Martinez proved, don't matter how could your chin is if you rely on this all these years you are more than likely gonna come unstuck, I would not be surprised if we have a similar finish in the Froch/AA fight next week but maybe a little later in the fight.
Well he could reinvent himself and start using his height and reach to his advantage, jab the crap out of his opponent .If he fought like this sure he wouldn't be as exciting but his chin wouldn't get tested as often as it does. I think his balls are just to big for his own good though and eventually in every fight will resort to just slugging it out, so hopefully his chin is just dented and not shattered.
Williams build looks like he won't have a good chin so I am not surprised but with that reach work rate and i'll fight anyone attitude I expect him back at the top soon.

I like Williams, he just needs to learn how to use his physical attributes better, and learn some defence. He can still fight his way back up the P4P list though, doubt he's still top 10 as that was a pretty devastating loss.
Yes he is; but the up and down in weight is not good so I hope he finds a weight class that he is comfortable with and sticks with it. And I think he should stay away from power punching southpaws because he gets caught with the left quite often see also the 1st Quintana fight. 154 is a good weight for him and he should fight a few tuneups to see where he is at mentally after that ko. Anthony Mundine or Sergio Mora would be a great place to start over.
There you have it in a nutshell...if I was Paul Williams I'd be putting calls in to Freddy Roach and Manny Steward...though I think even the likes of Joe Goosen, Ronnie Shields, and maybe even Tommy Brooks could help him out a bit.
If Paul just used his natural abilities and was more technically sound then I don't really see many fighters that could beat him. He's got a crowd pleasing style, but that's what it gets you sometimes
Martinez can box and obviously PW can't, I doubt he'll have a hard time finding an opponent for his next fight. He needs to polish his game up.....a lot!
