Pac isn't even a lmw, let alone a mw, there would be a 20, 25 pound weight difference come fight night. Pacquiao is fast but hell if marg was able to hit him as much as he was able to I'm pretty sure martinez would be able to as well. Martinez has a pretty dam good chin himself with speed to go along with it, hell he took pavliks punches before battering him into submission, so not sure pac would be able to keep him off. I think pac would be knocked out if this fight was to happen, granted we've said this before about pac fights. Let pac stay at 147, 160 is a mountain to high and honestly isn't even an appealing fight for me. As for pbf fighting him doubt that ever comes off, to high a risk for pbf. As cresa said have martinez unify,a fight a year down the road with pirog would be extremely appealing in the meantime he can fight sturm, or who knows a lmw coming up.

Pac never weigh more than 145 in a fight and never more than 149 fight night.

Martinez was 158 at the weigh in. add another 10 lbs for re hydration and he has 20lbs over Pacquiao that wont be a fair fight.

Pac should fight 1 or 2 more times within 147 and then retire. Martinez should go for Bute.

Will Pascal talk about Floyd and pac too if he beat Hopkins?

well apparently, many pactards are saying martinez is overrated and not very good because he lost to margarito earlier in his career. they seem to think that just because margarito knocked out martinez and pacquiao easily beat margarito, that martinez would be an easy fight. WTF?

This whole 'I'm gonna call out Floyd & Manny' thing is getting ridiculous.

Granted both have won titles at LMW, but only when being drastically outweighed by much bigger opponents. Hell, on the night, they were both only about 148-150lbs at the weight, why would they fight a guy like Martinez who could feasibly coming in at anything up to 170+?

Seriously, I would like to see Martinez take on a tough guy like Pirog or a more green Lemieux for big money, let Williams have a comeback fight & focus on being a MW rather than having one eye on the Welterweight division & then have a trilogy.

Seriously, I'm half expecting Wlad to say he wants to meet PBF or Pac at a catchweight of 203lbs after he murders Chisora

If the fight were to be made at 154 then I would have no issues with it. I would imagine Martinez would need to boil down a lot to make that weight now, so one fighter is going up and the other coming back down. They would be meeting half way. But if it's a catchweight north or south of 154, then to hell with the whole thing. I'm sick to death of these ridiculous catchweights.

I think Martinez is too big for the both of them though and not a whole lot slower. He would definitely bulk up after the weigh in a whole lot more though.

I'm fine with a Floyd or Pac fight, Martinez deserves a good payday and he is in the twilight of his career, but I'm not so sure Floyd or Manny would want to fight him. But I am equally satisfied to see him stay at MW and finish with another 3 fights.

I agree. But as a big fan of both Martinez and Lemieux, feel it is still too early to even consider that match. He needs a few more years under his belt before being ready for the likes of Sergio imo. As a handler I just wouldn't do it. Too young to risk it. And sadly, that might not fit well into Sergio's time line.

Pirog would like to see, and agree too to Paul getting what he needs, retooling his style, some confidence builders in against a punching bag or 2...and then let the trilogy happen.
