I do think Pirog is too green. True Jacobs would want a title shot right away if he had won but he would also have gotten KTFO in the next fight. We seen Pirog only once so far against Jacobs and very few seen his performance against Jantuah. I would say let him build a bit more of a name for himself get another decent to good fight and maybe check his options then. My personal opinion is he won't be ready for a championship fight for a few more fight's.

JCC seems to be the best choice as far as popularity. Personnaly i think that it is miss-match but anyways. Would a fight with Pirog be bigger that a fight with Bute in the u.s ?

Mayorga couldn't make 160 if his life depended on it.

    How about Fernando Guerrero ?

    Or...

    Ricardo Mayorga ?

Mayorga was set to fight Sturm, until it the commission dismisssed the bout because Mayorga has never fought at MW and didn't deserve to be getting a title shot lol

Too bad Ike Quartey and Winky Wright aren't still hanging around the middleweight division like they were a few years ago.

For an interetsing fight he could fight

    Winky Wright
    Andy Lee
    Felix Strurm

    or for a money make
    JCC Jr. or John Duddy

seriously, the only competitive fight for martinez at middleweight would be pirog. but unfortunately, because pirog isn't a big name yet and martinez wouldn't be able to make alot of money fighting him, this fight probably won't happen. martinez is 35 years old and i would think he only wants be fights with big paydays.

i mean, the middleweight is a very weak division. i do think martinez would be too small at super middleweight unless he fought arthur abraham.

I love how everyone is thinking Martinez will just chase people around at different weights when HE is the Champ. Why doesn't some young punk try to call his a$$ out and move into his realm and fight him? You guys slag him off before.. "Oh martinez is ONLY a slick fighter.. Martinez only beats guys who come forward" I think If Bute wants to fight him he can meet him in the middle. Pavlik doesn't want the rematch.. Nobodys got ballz anymore. I hate boxing.
"Floyd needs to inject Xylocaine into his balls to gain the courage to fight Pacquiao."

    - and I quote from some random guy on the internet
