This is getting really serious with the S. Korean president calling for retaliation. And it can get really nasty if the US and China, the two no. 1 allies of both nations gets drawn into this mess. I hate to say this, but if I'm honest there is a part of me that kind of enjoys a good war. Not the tragedy and suffering of course, but the drama and action. When we went with America to take out Iraq, I can't deny it was entertaining to be in the tanks with them thanks to their tank cams whilst they kicked ass, often accompanied to a rousing orchestral score.

Obviously I want the S Koreans to win this one, but they are definitely the underdogs. If it was a wrestling match they would be the caped dwarf fighting a giant fat, masked guy. Hopefully they can tag someone else in as well to smash the Northern wrestler figure across the back with a chair.

So, although I hate the sufferings, if it all kicks off I'll be getting out the popcorn and rooting for the Southern little guys to do a giant killing.

America won't get directly involved for fear of upsetting China. So it might be a proxy war with China. The N. and S. Koreans will just be the chess pieces and the chess board is the Korean peninsula, and the players are US and China.

Movies, video games, and Lord of the Rings are make belief. Not real. Finding amusement with that kind of stuff, who cares I say because a lot of people enjoy it. But enjoying war itself because it seems fun and exciting is really.............. out there I say.

All I got from that post was that you said you enjoy a good war because of the drama and action. So I take it as meaning you want a war to happen for your amusement. It ain't no amusement for the parties involved, to them I'm pretty sure it's not fun and games filled with great drama and action. But hey whatever floats your boat homey.

IMO the North is just bluffing a bit. Not like their father who was a real revolutionary, the sons and the grandsons grew up in their jaded palace like semi-brats. Their father, what was his name?, was a battle-hardened soldier, who fough the Japanese, led the North Koreans in the Korean war. He was a scary figure who did scary things. He bombed an airliner, he bombed the whole entourage of visiting S. Korean president in Burma(?) in the 80's killing most of the president's cabinet men, kidnapped Japanese citizens from their homes - most never to be seen again, etc. We were concerned for our brother who was, as a US army soldier, guarded the DMZ during those times, in the 70's-80's. We were glad he came back safe, amidst reports of ocassional skirmishes between the two sides, and... ...with a korean bride.

But of course, you can never be sure as there are still some ol' lieutenants of their father who might be manipulating the whole thing.
