Agreed this should be a really exciting fight. Definite FOTY potential.

can't wait to see the marquez/katsidis fight as well. love both of these warriors and it's going to be a give and take while it lasts. marquez will probably win by UD but katsidis is hungry and young, and could possible pull off the upset.

This year is close. Marquez-Katsidis was fucken excellent, fought at an extremely high skill level. Same with Marquez-Lopez but I just prefer Katsidis-Marquez. Perez-Mares was unforgettable, that is a very strong sleeper candidate but I think still that the constant sways in momentum in the Escalante-Roman bout trump all. Neither fighter had control of that fight for more then a couple minutes at a time. That's what makes a fight truly special.

Marquez vs Katsidis is without a doubt the FOTY at the moment, closely followed by Roman vs Escalante. But there's a few more possible FOTY candidates to go yet with Mares vs Darchinyan and Perez vs Agbeko.
