Just heard that on German TV he announced he will no longer be taking part in the super 6 tourney. Anyone able to confirm this? before I start to call him a little bitch.

HAHAHA
That would mean there are only 3 origonal super 6 fighters left now wouldn't it?
The whole thing has become a disaster.

nope it would only be 2, Froch and Ward
it started out
Andre Ward
Andre Dirrell
Carl Froch
Arthur Abraham
Mikel Kessler
Jermain Taylor
first Taylor resigned, then they brought in Green, then Kessler pulled out and they brought in Johnson, then Dirrell bitched out and they left it at 5, if Abraham really has pulled out then it's only the Super 4, 2 of the guys having been in the tourney from the beginning, overall i'd say it's been a pretty big letdown
True, the execution hasn't been good due to pull-outs. They seemed to have learned from it with the Bantamweight tourney, a 4 man straight knockout tournament seems much more workable. It has given us some good fights and interesting style match-ups, and we could still have some more with Froch-Johnson and the winner against Ward.
that is prob good news as they will be forced to make froch fight ward and just class that as the final![]()
Looked like he made that call half way through the Froch fight to me. Guys like Johnson fight all out to take spot and a supposed favorite tucks tail because he can't take it. Dint let the door hit your ass!
If you were AA, and you'd just taken the kind of beating he took at the hands of Froch, and to be completely outclassed as he was, you wouldn't be too eager to get back in the ring against the same guy again, another beating like that and he might not even want to come back again.
Froch v Ward as the final, and let's move on to simpler tournament set-ups for the future I think!

it definately hasnt been a disaster, and in away its served its purpose
we wanted to find the best supermiddle and were down to the best 2
it would make more sense to lose johnson but maybe brute wil step in for AA
or Kes might come back
If Arthur Abraham drops out then the Super Six has been a gigantic failure in my eyes. Of course, many of us suspected as much in the begining. It's too harsh a sport to make a long term scheme like this pan out.
A few great fights is fine, but as a wound wobin (Kripke)it's proved itself garbage.
The Supersix has served its purpose, in as much as we now know the top two fighters in the competition. Froch and Ward have proven themselves worthy finalists.
The only thing that has annoyed me is that they kept bringing in substitute fighters when they should have either shortened the tournament or brought back one of the others and changed fixtures around.
It's an absurdity id they make Carl Froch fight Glen Johnson and Andre Ward fight an as yet unnamed opponent in the semi finals. Utter lunacy imo.
Just make the final fight now, Ward vs Froch. If they don't want to shortchange Glen Johnson, let him fight the winner.
But putting obstacles in front of the big final would be idiotic in my mind.
the format was daft which has taken something way from it
it hasnt been a failure tho, we have had
AA v Taylor, Froch v Dirrell, Ward v Kesser, Froch v Kessler, AA v Dirrell, Froch v AA
thats 6 fights between the best supermiddles in the world, when have we had that before?
It has helped Froch/Ward fight the best fighters in the division and gain some credibility.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
