Hahaa! "Philippine goverment officials" he says. Them against 80 million Filipinos, non-filipino, and official judges who thinks it was the right decision. The decision could have gone either way, kodus to both of them. But you have to understand that it's always hard to avoid controversy with a razor thin verdict like that.

True, styles make fights. But check this out though. Marquez, as great as he is, is no longer on the same level as Manny. If you don't see it that way, then you're a hater. Pac simply evolved into a juggernaut beyond the lightweight division. Pac would slauther him above 135.

Pac has won all fights he had over the 135-lb limit, all of which are against heavier and bigger opponents. In contrast, Marquez only has one showing beyond the lightweight limit and that was a losing, looking like shit against Floyd.
You forgot the 80 million Filipinos, the government and officials not only helps Pac win his fights for engaging in a boxing conspiracy, they also help provide Pac with A-Side meth to make him invincible in the ring.

You mean the same Pacquiao with the severe case of Trypanophobia
I don't know about that. All I know is that this A-side meth makes you invincible not only in the boxing ring but also on the battlefield of war. Punches and bullets have no effect.

Lol, that A-side meth is crazy and who knows what they were thinking saying that.
But, that whole Pac needle phobia is crazy as well.

Back on topic, yes they are around the same weight Pac is obviously the sturdier of the two and he just doesn't seem to run out of steam these days..

Bob Arum NOW picking Shane Mosley as Pac’s next opponent doesn’t surprise me. Didn’t Shane Mosley asked for the fight years ago while he still had some gas left in the tank? I am surprised Bob Arum and Freddy Roach didn’t quickly ask Foreman for a fight after Cotto beat him.

As for Juanma vs Manny III, sure, even though Erik Morales beat him clearly and JMM gave Pac his most difficult challenge, the opposition that Manny has faced compared to Juanma may give Manny the edge on this one. Sure, Manny’s opponents may be going downhill, old, damaged goods, weight-drained, etc. Now that I think about it, JMM opposition is not a walk in the park either considering how they at least not passed their prime, downhill, damaged goods, etc.

Will there be random blood tests for this one?

BTW, Pac's team did offered a 3rd fight to JMM in January of this year, JMM said he wanted 50/50 and OSDT up to the day of the fight. Well there you have it. At this stage only one name will get 50/50 and a OSDT. JMM a great fighter, but he ain't in the driver's seat to be making 50/50 demands and other stuff. That's like the UK making economic and political demands on China when they are in no position to.

Same time most people said they wanted OST for a fight with Pacquiao.
GBP said any fighter they promote would demand that against Pacquiao, some how Arum refuses to do any work with GBP now
Top Rank and the people surrounding Manny are a joke, a complete joke.

Quite a few people on this site said Pacquiao was scared of JMM and didn't want a 2nd fight till years later or a 3rd fight. 2nd fight offered for early '05, it was turned down to fight 2 bums and Chris John for 30k after their 1st fight. 3rd fight offered this year and also turned down. JMM should know who has the bigger leverage in negotiations and who is the bigger draw, it ain't JMM. Great fighter, but he doesn't have the clout to demand 50/50 money split and OSDT.

Let's take Mayweather, he got paid something like 8 million for fighting Baldomir the lineal champ at 147 while Baldomir got paid around 1 million. Mayweather also dictated ring and glove size. You know why that is? Because Mayweather is the bigger draw and star, not Baldomir.

BTW other fighters that didn't care about those rumors of A-side meth and would have fought Pac were Bradley and Mosley, although at the time Mosley was about to fight Berto before the earthquake in Haiti put an end to that match.

I agree, Marquez shouldn't be asking for a 50/50 deal.
The thing about Mosley, he would love to have a chance against Pacquiao because he knows "anything goes".
And Bradley, good for him for not demanding it.
Though IMO, why wouldn't you want to have a fighter have OST if you have nothing to hide either, unless you are making completely unmatched paycheck and exposure.
    And have something to prove.

I don't agree with Bob Arum trying to match Pacquiao with Mosley but I agree with random blood test. Should they also check in the blood test the presence of urine?

First time I hear a Filipino agree with blood tests, interesting . Hey! Let JMM drink all the urine he wants! I'm tempted to donate some of mine to give him a boost.

JMM asking for a 50/50 is a bit too much. I agreed with Floyd asking for more and later 50/50 but now, I think the bigger draw is Manny after his recent exciting fights. So now Bob Arum doesn't want any blood tests, eh?

Just a thought! What if urine actually works as a masking agent? I heard of stranger things happening.

I actually think for Roach isn't putting too much thought into it, to say Pac fights everyone at the 147 limit. It is only advantageous against the much larger fighters. What difference does it make for the smaller fighter or for Pacquiao to make a weight 140-147? JMM would just have the same training advantage as Pac, not having to dehydrate, Right? JMM doesn't have to pack on the weight because Pac ain't coming in any larger. The other 140 lb fighters just have less weight to knock off as well. So really it's kind of a stupid statement.

I think Mosley has lost some of his draw but that is just a thought. Obviously Arum don't think he has and that is why Mosley is Pacquiao's the first alternative. It's anyone guess who the biggest draw for Pacquiao is outside of Mayweather. JMM, Berto or Martinez. Khan or JCC Jr might be the next biggest draws. Who knows, they all have appeal one way or another.

I read someone write Arum is a joke. That is just stupid. Arum knows how to promote a fight. That is exactly why he is a hall of fame promoter. He may not be likable, but he is far from being a joke. Arum makes money in boxing, the same way Don king knows how to make money in boxing.

Just don't allow JMM to drink those urine less than 12 hrs before the fight. I don't want him to be throwing up all those urine on Pac .
