Can someone tell me again how is that this guy DOESN'T hand pick his opponents? I mean come on. A rematch will prove what exactly?

I'm not gonna lie. As a massive Pacquiao fan, I'm disgusted by his actions. Even if it's Bob Arums mastermind plans, it doesn't matter. Pacquiao has been saying "Yes master" to Bob Arum for way to long. Speak up boy. Time to tell daddy no

A massive Pacquiao fan aye?
But fxck this plan, even if Margarito beats Cotto again he still doesn't deserve a rematch with pac. As for Cotto, he would need to beat Margarito and Martinez to be considered as an oppenent for Pac.
I hope Floyd would quit stalling so this bullshit plan of Arum wouldn't happen.
why isn't pacquiao's camp naming fighters like alexander, khan, marquez, sergio martinez, joan guzman, timothy bradley, maidana, berto, mayweather jr., and hell, since he's the defending WBC jr. middleweight champion, fight someone like alfredo angulo, vanes martirosyan, yuri foreman, cornelius bundrage, erislandy lara and in a year, saul alvarez.
what's up with all these fucking retreads? talk about a protected fight, pacquiao is one of them and this is something his ardent fans cannot deny anymore. the secret is out and pacquiao is getting exposed as a fraud.

No way this happens. Think Margarito beats Cotto again and that will prove what in regards to a Manny rematch? Nattas. Likewise A Cotto win over Margarito. At the end of the day....both were lopsided ass whippings. Manny should fight Canello Alvarez instead
to tell you the truth, i don't think canelo alvarez is ready for someone like pacquiao yet. he's just starting to learn how to box. sure he has alot of potential but unfortunately, that's all he has is alot of potential. give him about 4-5 tough fights and if he passes with flying colors then i would say yeah, he's ready for pacquiao.
concerning cotto vs. margarito II, i think cotto takes margarito this time. i think cotto is the much better boxer, and the much fresher fighter. both fighters are prone to cuts but margarito is just so damned slow to be a danger to cotto anymore. cotto by wide UD.

That's insane. No way this ever happens. Pacquiao has destroyed both men, no way is there any real demand for a rematch with either of them.
Arum is a disgusting man who only wants to keep the money in his own stable. I hope father time takes him away sooner rather that later. The need to keep it all in 'the family' is now getting far too sickening to bear.

I imagine this is just a made up story much the same as when Floyd was said to be considering fighting Matthew Hatton a last year.
The trouble for Manny is that aside from Floyd, there aren't really any challengers out there for him.
Berto, argue some, is not ready, Mosley according to the hardcore is done. Marquez is fighting two weight classes below and guys like Martinez and Williams are simply far too big to be realistic fights.
I'd most of all like him to fight Andre Berto if he can't get Floyd next. Or Timothy Bradley. Those two guys are young, unbeaten fighters and would make for exciting fights.
I still don't think he will get credit for fighting either from those on here who hate him, but they represent the best opposition from a competitive fight point of view imo.
Whether they make the most sense financially though I don't know.

Somebody asked what does a rematch prove? It proves he can make money. The other thing that many were complaining about is Pacquiao is relatively unproven at 154lbs.
If Cotto is able to beat Margarito convincingly, it would suggest in some peoples minds that the first time they met, Margarito had his wraps loaded. Then people will suggest Cotto has his confidence back and a rematch with Pacquiao at 154lbs to unify the WBA and WBC Light Middleweight titles would have been earned and warranted since Cotto doesn't have to dehydrate to make weight. I don't it is a very hard sell, in fact I can picture Max Kellerman talking up Cotto after he beat Margarito.
If Margarito is able to beat down Cotto, some will say it suggests Margarito didn't have his wraps loaded. The truth is it doesn't really mean anything, but a unification argument can still be made. I think a rematch with Margarito is a much tougher sell but it would still draw a crowd and make pretty good PPV numbers with the help of 27/7.
Personally, I'd much rather see Pacquiao in there with other fighters. I don't really want to see him rematch Margarito ever. I hope Margarito just retires. I'd rather see Pac try take on Martinez.
