Makes sense as a homecoming fight. Its a bit presumptuous of him beating Maidana though for them to be already looking at his next fight
I've liked Guzman for a long time. I think he could do Khan. He's got good skills, speed and a good chin.

Well it's not a given, obviously, because Khan needs to beat Maidana but Golden Boy will definitely have a plan for a big moneymaking fighter like Khan.
Guzman has a similar-ish style to Floyd. Long term thinking and all...
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
That would be a good fight. But IMO, Khan(should he win) should be fighting the winner of Alexander vs Bradley. At least be trying to get that fight.
Guzman, needs to get his stock back up and be a little more active. I would like to see Guzman vs Judah instead.

The problem with Bradley/Alexander is these behemoth promoters - Golden Boy and Bob Arum - are moving to keep everything in house.
Victor Ortiz is probably Khan's next big American fight.
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.

No way Guzman makes weight against Khan.

I for one certainly pass on this idea. Guzman was highly talented as a super featherweight, but went downhill from there for me. He has been either too fat, too inactive or pretty poor of late for me. Super talent wasted.
Wouldn't mind seeing him in against Judah as someone mentioned, but I'd say if he gets beat up by Funeka then Khan beats him up good. To be honest, I can't believe Guzman is still being promoted in this manner. I'll be shocked if he makes it past undercard fighter again as going on his recent past, he doesn't seem like the kind of dude that can be bothered putting in that extra mile of road work or extra round of sparring. Those grins and laughs him and Beard put on in his last weigh-in fiasco just put the nail in the coffin for me on Guzman.
